As a commenter to a previous post pointed out, the Times-Picayune reports today on the, wouldn't you call it a FLIP FLOP by Joe Lieberman. Previously outraged at the failure of the White House to supply official documentation of the response to the Katrina disaster (during his campaign against Ned Lamont), Joe, now ensconced as chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, says he doesn't want a "witch hunt", that he's "looking forward". When you want it, it's called "accountability". When you don't, it's called a "witch hunt". So maybe it's time to revive a call for an independent Katrina commission, to document the causes of the disaster as well as the response?
