As of Friday, an ad produced by the National Republican Senatorial Committee is still airing in West Virginia, despite the group's expectation that the ad was going to be pulled.

The 30-second spot, filmed in Philadelphia and attacking Democratic Governor Joe Manchin, depicts blue collar workers in a diner discussing the U.S. Senate race in West Virginia.

You can watch the ad here.

Manchin faces Republican John Raese in the special election to fill the seat of Democrat Robert C. Byrd, who died in June.

A casting call for the ad, released by Kathy Wickline Casting stated, "We are going for a 'Hicky' Blue Collar look. These characters are from West Virginia so think coal miner/trucker looks."

The ad was pulled from the NRSC's youtube channel, but was still airing on West Virgnia TV stations on Friday.

WTOV in Wheeling reported that the station had not been notified to pull the ad.
