Hi everyone, I wanted to share this video clip of a recent experience I had that is very close to my heart. I have been volunteering for many years for charity organization UNICEF, and just a few weeks ago, I traveled to Haiti to learn more about the recovery efforts since the devastating earthquake in 2010 and the nationwide cholera epidemic in 2011.

Since then, UNICEF has been working tirelessly to meet the critical needs of Haiti's children in health, water and sanitation, education, and protection.

During this incredible journey, I learned all about 'Kangaroo care' and how it helps save the lives of pre-term and low-birthweight infants. In addition, I got to see all the amazing things volunteers are doing to help improve the lives of these children.

See my experience in the clip above. If you want to help, donating to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF is a great way to get started. Donations can be made at unicefusa.org/donatenow.

Your efforts will go towards funding projects like the artistic activities that are so important for the children.
