Celebrate World Kindness Week: Cross-Country Scavenger Hunt Connects Strangers Through Kindness

It's World Kindness Week from November 13-20! How do you spread kindness? Do you share a smile with a fellow commuter? Maybe pay for someone's morning coffee when they don't have the correct change? Or possibly organize a cross-country scavenger hunt?

Surely the third isn't the typical response, but that's what the participants in "American Bear: An Adventure in the Kindness of Strangers" did. Taking kindness into their own hands, they created Kindness Captured, a scavenger hunt taking place in five cities across the country. "You pull a mission, pull a location, and then you go out and do some good," said Sarah, a founder of the project.

Check out how these kindness advocates spread their hope:

Scavenger hunters are assigned missions that can range from handing out cold drinks on a hot day, to passing out inspirational sayings and happy notes. It's a way to pass on kindness, to bond with strangers, and to make this massive world a little smaller.

"American Bear: An Adventure In The Kindness Of Strangers" is an inspiring exploration of our country through trust, fear, and hospitality, across America and between Americans. Their slogan - Be Brave. Be Kind. - pushes fellow kindness seekers out of their elements as well.
