HuffPost's Alex Wagner Discusses Donald Trump On MSNBC (VIDEO)

Posted: 04/15/11 10:28 PM ET

HuffPost's Alex Wagner spoke to MSNBC's Cenk Uygur Friday night about Donald Trump.

Wagner, discussing controversial comments made by Trump and Rush Limbaugh, commented, "Donald Trump, Rush Limbaugh, what they effectively do is change the magnetic poles here. And you know, regardless of how feasible his candidacy actually is, when Donald Trump, you know, starts engaging in this rhetoric, and Rush Limbaugh starts engaging in this rhetoric, it gives fuel to the fire."

She also explained that the GOP is "dead serious about cutting this deficit. They are dead serious about economic reform. They are dead serious about entitlement reforms. And so they are going to be making much more of a concerted effort in the following weeks and months to get the carny sideshow of social conservatism that is Donald Trump off the main stage."

Notice how all the other candidates do not mention how the Chinese are destroying this nation wonder why that is, could it be they don't want to upset the Chinese to insure farther borrowing?

When one thinks of the powerful Chinese one has to talk about the Chinese government, the Chinese citizen is under communist government control and are not in the position to lend other governments large sums of money to finance wars or government programs...... I hope this clears it up for you!

I won't ever trust a politician who refuses to produce a birth certificate. I think you have to to run for president don't you?

In the case of The Donald and other candydates, it would be much more comforting to see a certificate attesting to passage of a sanity check.

You birthers are really still perpetuating this nonsense?

1) Does it REALLY matter? Attack his policies if you have an issue with the man, not a technicality based on a rumor that's been disproved over and over.

2) Verify for yourself: http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html

3) I don't give damn where our politicians are from. Regardless - it seems none of them are in touch with real people or real life. When you're making over 100k/yr and aren't affected by a lot of your legislation you have no incentive to *really* work for the people. That applies to both democrats AND republicans.

4) Nearly all politicians in congress right now aren't working towards solving problems. They're aiming to enforce ideologies. And well, sorry, I don't give a damn if homosexuals want to marry or if women want abortions right now. I'm concerned about REAL problems - like our damned economy that's going down the tubes. Hell, they can't even agree on what they disagree on.

Thanks for that. I am not a birther supporter. I would like the distraction to go away. Your reference seems genuine.

the republican/conservative/teabaggers are not serious about reducing the deficit if so they would raise taxes not continue to cut them.

they are serious about using the deficit as a smoke screen to turn america into a third world oligarchy.

of course the donald brither who wants to see obamas long form birth certificate but cant find his own. the first document he released wasnt even a legal document.

the second one was a photo copy of something. it didnt even have a raised seal. as any birther knows the long form birth certificate has the name and signature of the doctor that performed the delivery. this does not.

the donald went on the air and publicly stated that the long form birth certificate includes the religion what he provided does not.

of course the biggest difference between what the donald provided and what obama provided is what the states say about them. the state of hawaii says what obama provided is a valid legal birth certificate proving birth in hawaii.

the state of new york has refused to state the same about what the donald provided.

come on donald where is your real birth certificate.

None of the current slate of party candydates has the ability to be witty since some of them are witless and the rest are just plain jokes.

AND DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THIS ONE !

I heard on this evening's news, something about Arizona and other states requiring that a birth certificate must show the name of the doctor who delivered you ! It must show a signature, and the name of the hospital where you were born !

Earlier, I understood a "NOTARY SEAL" was required on birth certificates in other states ! It seems that each state has their own set of rules and requirements concerning acceptable Birth Certificates ! ... LOL !

LEAVE PRES. OBAMA ALONE WITH THIS NONSENSE ! .... AND IF ANYTHING... DO SOMETHING TO MAKE STANDARDIZED REQUIREMENTS NATION-WIDE ! Because right now, my own birth certificate falls short of all this nonsense ! The doctor who delivered me, the hosp etc., Good Lord ! I suppose the next thing they will require for all of us, would be to look the poor doctor up (if he/she is still living) to personally attest to all past deliveries !

REALLY, LMAO !

birthers have long claimed that information is on the long form birth certificate. the arizona law does not require that information. it does allow a baptism certificate. which is nonsense because that doesnt prove where a person was born. somebody could be born anyplace in the world then brought to the good ole us of a and baptized.

the donald released what he claims is his birth certificate. it has a multitude of problems one of which is that it does not list the name of the doctor or have the doctors signature.

Alex Wagner is my ideal woman. Brilliant, beautiful, warm and funny. And a very melodic voice, too. And those dimples. I am sure she will go far in her field, and I'll be cheering her on. She'll have her own show, and soon.
