Arianna appeared on Countdown tonight to discuss Karl Rove's efforts to rewrite history on the war in Iraq, George Orwell's 1984 and why Rove is a "shameless, remorseless and perhaps soulless political animal, who cannot help himself, even when he's out of the White House":

Why bothers to give Rove the attention (I don't even want to pronounce this f???'s name. Maybe I should just say R??E).

There is nothing complicated about this incidence.

It is just a low person who is sinking further down to the lowest hole.

Why needs to analyze a manaupulative and pathological liar's words!

They are garbage should be throwed out or poisoning food should be vomited.

Collectively, we should let the R??E--the poison--out of our system.

Don't talk about R??E! Don't write about R??E! Don't think about R??E!

We must render R??E powerless--totally nonexistence for the simple reason that why pay attention on garbage.

In the beginning of 2009, we should collectively do the same thing for another garbage--B??H.

We wake up every day wondering if the Bush administration lives on a different planet and in a time warp.

Karl Rove believes that the American people have no access to the facts because the mainstream media have been consolidated and conservative radio talk shows, Fox News and other Republican friendly media are willing to spread propaganda packed with outright lies.

That Congress has not impeached the liars is regrettable. The constitution is being shredded, history rewritten, and the American people abused.

Thanks for providing us with facts and debunking manufactured myths. Keith serves the public interest well by having fearless voices speak truth to power. Now we just have to send a strong message to Congress that they can do more to curb executive power because without consitutional checks, there will be no balance and little transparency.

Thanks and makes me madder than I previously was at Bush, Chaney, Rove, etc--the whole Republican Party. His audacity of his ego is disgusting.

Rove should be in prison.

But with a no good whore as Speaker of the House, all of the Administration Criminals will get away with their crimes and walk away very rich man.

Pelosi is a treasonous coward.

DEAD TROOPS = HALLIBURTON PROFITS = MONEY IN DICK CHENEY'S BLOODY POCKETS.

Sorry if this has been said already, but with Rove now writing for them, shouldn't they be called "Newspeak"? Is this joke already passe?

Thank you Keith and Arianna for calling Turd Blossom on his revisionist history. I personally think that he is playing a game. Rove wants to see just how gullible the American public is. I think we are all aware that there will be quite a few people who buy this bullshit. Will Hannity and Colmes defend this crap? Of course. Who can Limbaugh ridicule over this? Certainly not Rove, who the fat pant load will defend. Bill O' Really will find somebody to threaten in his defense of patriotism. I wonder which of these morons will explain that the truth was then and that Rove's version is the new truth based on what we have learned. This technique only works if you don't believe in reality.

It is disturbing to know that Rove is responsible in so many ways for the National disaster of the last 7 years.

Karl Rove is pathological. He has no remorse, sees no limits to his behavior.

I have first hand experience with this asshole. Before I'd ever heard of him, I was sitting beside a seemingly affable Michelin Man (Doughboy--take your choice) waiting for the plane to finish loading. Christiane Amanpour walks on the plane and my seatmate jumps and starts waving at her inviting her to take my seat. He growls at me while waving, "I'm sorry, but you're going to have to move."

I turned into solid lead with an attitude.

Christiane smiled, shook her head and continued on into the Coach section.

It was a quiet flight.

My theory (and I don't have a shred of evidence beyond my own gut feeling based on watching Turd Blossom for lo these many years) is that Rove left the White House in order to let that hot ticket from Midland he once found so appealing twist slowly in the wind without Rove's guidance. What better way to let the world know who was the real "brains" of the outfit?

This "rewrite" of history might be intended to distance TB from the most heinous of the shrub's acts in order to show what happened when w didn't listen to him.

I dunno. And I don't enjoy spending too much time trying to figure out the thinking of this twisted amoral son of Segretti. It's too depressing.

Has this "most insidious of traitors" security clearance been taken away by the U.S. government? I haven't seen that confirmed in any news report yet. He's no longer on the White House staff, but is he on the payroll or working for anyone other than the Washington Post now? Lowly ethical standards that newspaper is displaying...

I suspect the roots of Rove's BS lie in his childhood. It seemed to have been very unhappy, one parent committed suicide, he had trouble fitting in, etc. I can imagine he constructed a lot of his own 'reality' then, too, as a way to cope, and it is very probable his need to be on top, no matter the lies, is a subconscious way to show his parents, family, and childhood enemies "look at me, I'm the big guy now, I'm running things, nyah nyah..." In college he seems to have stumbled onto politics as a way to achieve this. It's common in college to see politics as black and white, but as one matures one sees that there are also shades of grey. Rove never did this, he is perpetually stuck in those [unrealistic] college day certitudes. Lee Atwater was his saviour. Scary that he had/has such an influence in this country's politics. Let's hope most Americans are wise to the man now, and he will get roundly ignored, as he deserves.

Brilliant interview-- Arianna and Keith are the stuff dreams are made of-- and because of the depth and gravitas of this interview, Newsweek no longer a place on my coffee table...

Replay the video of KKKrove and Charlie Rose. When rove sez that the whitehouse didn't want the Senate to vote on the war resolution, rove seems to smirk! Now we know where booosh's smirk come from.

Has anyone been to the Sean Hannity forums yet to see if they're eating this up?

You know, back when I used to teach 1984 and Animal Farm to teenagers, they would always deny that anyone could be so stupid as to believe blatant lies that the "Ministry of Misinformation" would create. But I fear that somewhere, someone is lapping up Rove's shit and swallowing it.

The Blind Trailing the Blind

It's funny to watch people get offended, especially when they should know better. For anyone alive in America today to support the Bush-Cheney-Rove fiasco that is "our presidential administration", is to identify themselves with the inhuman.

Your "leaders" invaded a foreign nation without cause, murdered a million innocent civilians, destroyed the foundation of the Bill of Rights which once protected YOU, and let the national concern for its own sag into the mud of Katrina.

This is Bush's war, and belongs to no one else. To hear them lie and place blame elsewhere than on themselves, is in fact to hear more of the same.

Asked for a fact, Rove claims, "I just said it." This attitude is no different from Bush himself, and certainly Cheney. Can't you hear the same liar's rhetoric from Giuliani and Romney?

Every dictator needs a spit-bag, willing to lie into the face of the world for each minor political gain. And when you are appealing to the least common denominator, such as that portion of the American "electorate" whose knuckles still scrape the ground, you are forced to tell ever bigger lies.

The great lie has begun. With the bald-headed pork-ass Rove out on the sidelines but still working the same "groove", he will bump and stump for whatever rump the Gulag-Of-Pigs sticks into our face as their "legitimate" candidate.

I question anyone who is surprised by this "man", or who expects anything different from him.

He is already working for Giuliani - as is FOX. To put any of these on a diet of truth would starve them out. But it might help to raise the conversation above the level of game shows, though I am certain the "Americans" you rub elbows with are not intellectually prepared.

So, vote your self-interests again, America, and just let all the principles die on the vine.

The blind, you see, are short-sighted - both forward and into the past. And like good little sheep, they run after whoever has the "safest" lies.

Orwell's 1984 has indeed become reality in this country. With the exception of KO, I suspect the MSM will roll over and play dead while allowing the "shameless, remorseless, and soulless" Karl Rove to rewrite history. Karl Rove should be locked away, not given a platform to espouse his lies.

Karl Rove has just created a whole new dimension to the word "chutzpah."

I agree with Arianna but it wasn't the Iraq Study Group that hastened the march to war. It was the WHIG ... White House Iraq Group.

It's funny how there was so much public outrage about the OJ book "If I Did It", yet Rove is given an open forum on Charlie Rose and Newsweek to continue merrily on to his next project. I just wish the media were more like they are in Europe. If Rove had said that to a real journalist, he would have been shot down like a clay pigeon.

We need to extricate ourselves from this facism. my fear is that we'll get too bogged down with the hairsplitting. these guys are evil & they are the enemy. they have to go-I'm glad to hear Arianna focused on the true enemy. nuff of the clinton bashing. if we get another repub-we'll be very sorry.

If you don't believe in the reincarnation of the human soul you need look no further than the Rove/Joseph Goebbels connection. For the first six years that Bush ruled, the Congress was little more than a rubber stamp in the best Soviet tradition. We live in a nation of toads and fools.

"Insane chutzpah" of Rove. You said it, Arianna!

What is really disturbing is that this lying arrogant evil person, Rove, is trying to change history. How in the world will that be stopped. The 23% will adore this information..and 30 years down the road..what will kids be learning in school about the bush bash. That is if this is still the United States of America.
