Arianna appeared on "Countdown With Keith Olbermann" Friday evening to talk about tension between Sarah Palin and the Tea Party movement.
Tea Party leader Dale Robertson recently called Palin a "duck out of water among true Conservative Constitutionalists" and warned his visitors to teaparty.org to beware of "deceivers" and "usurpers" seeking to appropriate the group's ideals for political gain.
Arianna argued that two things that dealt a blow to Palin's image of authenticity: her double standard regarding the word "retard," and her $100,000 speaking Tea Party speaking fee.
Arianna observed that while the Tea Party clearly lacks cohesiveness, it is based on very real anger that both political parties ignore at their peril.

Stuart Whatley: The Tea Party Movement Is a National Embarrassment
The Tea Party movement is the latest installment in an old American tradition: the exploitation of mostly frustrated, desperate, and susceptible people by monied interests and profiteers.
A quick internet search will show you the tea party was formed in 2007 in support of Ron Paul and to protest the chipping away of our civil liberties, complete defiance of the Constitution, George Bush's quote: "that GD piece of paper" as well as calling for the end of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
Palin's GOP National tea party failure for large profit, while attempting to hijack a successful non-partisan grassroots effort at the same time. Her political career is pretty much finished.
There is no doubt that the the people behind curtains got what they wished from the Tea Party people - a lot of noise which has effectively skewed the general political discussion. There are consequences to bear when Te Party loudly calls Obama a socialist or a communist. And those consequences are always in line with the kleptocratic agenda.
The modern republican party, or what is left of it (being obliterated by the tea bag gers) is really the ones that are the radicals and extremists ....radical in the sense that they do NOT care if people lose everything (their homes , jobs or health) just as long as they get their tax cuts for themsleves and their big corps and banks behind them .
Even if the President DOES agree to whatever they propose or co-sign ...then they stop in their tracks ...disavow that they ever wanted whatever bill they were in agreement with and then promptly move EVEN FURTHER right or more radical.
THIS 25th ..this President is going to finally corner them all ..CENTER stage ...and tick off one by one all the points ..getting all of them to agree one way or the other ...and then show how extreme and radical THEY are and really ...
how sensible and reasonable this President is.
and then that will be the end of them.
regards... ;)

Sarah? Sarah?!!!!!!
I really don't think they care about Palin's hypocrisy, these are not reasonable people with critical thinking skills.
I think they are all nut jobs.
"There's growing tension between Sarah Palin and _________".
It's seems to know her is to hate her - if the Teaparty types are starting to get turned off by her, there's hope that there is intelligent life still on the Right...well, sort of.
