Arianna appeared on "Morning Joe" with co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski to discuss female entrepreneurs and Huffington Post's new "What Is Working" initiative.

Appearing with her was a group of women representing the entrepreneurial spirit, including Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to President Obama, and designer Tory Burch.

On Monday, Jarrett was the commencement speaker at the first all-woman version of the Goldman Sachs' 10,000 Small Businesses initiative, a philanthropic program that provides support to up-and-coming companies. The event also served as a launching pad for a new Huffington Post vertical, "What Is Working: Small Business," which, in conjunction with Goldman, will highlight success stories that come out of the company's program.

Asked by Scarborough how she learned to be innovative in the business world, Arianna responded, "I think for me the most important thing is not to be afraid to fail." She continued, "For me, the most important advice to young women and entrepreneurs is failure not the opposite of success, it's a stepping stone to success."
