Arianna appeared Saturday afternoon on CNN's 'Your Money,' hosted by Christine Romans, to discuss how women can help charge the economy. (Watch a clip below.)

The appearance came two days after Third Metric, The Huffington Post's first-ever women's conference, which Arianna co-hosted with Mika Brzezinski. There, hundreds of influential men and women in media, business, politics, and entertainment gathered to discuss a more sustainable definition of what it means to be successful.

Redefining success was a big theme of the conference, and Arianna expounded on that during her CNN appearance.

"The American workplace is fueled by burnout--24/7 work," she told Romans. "75 percent of healthcare costs in America are because of chronic, preventable diseases," she went on. "It's not sustainable. It's not good for wisdom--it's not good for the decisions our leaders make."

She recounted that Ehud Olmert, the former prime minister of Israel, recently told future leaders simply to get more sleep. "I know it sounds prosaic," she said, "but the truth is that if you are sleep-deprived... you are not going to make wise decisions."
