The Huffington Post's Howard Fineman was on MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews, discussing the race for the Republican nomination in the 2012 presidential race.

Responding to clips of GOP contenders talking about religious issues -- in a manner host Chris Matthews described as "like they're applying for a televangelist job," Fineman said:

"They're running to try to win caucus votes in Iowa.. Iowa's going to be all about, on the Republican side, the evangelical vote."
