HuffPost Senior Politics Editor Howard Fineman appeared on MSNBC's "Countdown" Thursday night to discuss Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's open assertion that his primary goal is to see President Barack Obama defeated in 2012.
"I think the president's strategy here is to seem to be the reasonable one," Fineman told host Keith Olbermann. "But the problem the president's got is that the Republicans have decided to pursue this strategy, and they are going to keep pursuing it, and they were sort of rewarded for pursuing it Tuesday night."
