The Huffington Post's Senior Political Editor Howard Fineman appeared Thursday night on MSNBC's "The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell" to discuss the National Journal's ranking of John Mccain as the senator with the most conservative voting record. As McCain was ranked between 44th and 49th in previous years, this represents a dramatic shift to the right.

Fineman believes McCain voted more conservatively in 2010 to win the Arizona primary saying, "Above all John McCain is a survivalist, and what he needed to do to survive was rush to the right, and he did it as fast as his legs could carry him."

Fineman also commented on the breaking news that CBS is cancelling further production of "Two and a Half Men" because of Charlie Sheen's condition: "CBS just couldn't take it anymore."
