Huffington Post political reporter Ryan Grim appeared on MSNBC this afternoon to discuss Vice President Joe Biden's comments that if the U.S. is able to withdraw most of its troops from Iraq within the timetable that the Obama administration has laid out, and leave a stable, functioning country behind, then it would be a "great achievement" for the administration.

Grim agreed that if the situation plays out in the way Biden described it, then it would indeed be a big achievement for Obama. However, Grim noted that it's far from certain that Biden's vision of the process will indeed be the one that occurs, so the issue is not clear yet.

He also pointed out the great hypocrisy in the right indignantly criticizing Biden for giving credit to the Obama administration for a potentially successful withdrawal from Iraq while at the same time insisting that Obama is to blame record deficits, high unemployment, and a Wall Street bailout that either began in or was enacted by the previous Bush administration.
