Sam Stein and Scott Hennen joined "Ed Show" guest host Cenk Uygur to talk about the ouster of Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and dim election outlook for Democrats, but things heated up when the discussion turned to Roy Blunt's comments about the proposed Park51 Islamic cultural center, the so-called "Ground Zero mosque."

"I do not know why liberals don't get this," an increasingly-unhinged Hennen said. "I mean, a softball's throw from where 3,000 people died in the largest attack on U.S. soil in our history -- saying let's put a mosque there when you could put that mosque anywhere -- you've got an imam who's behind the thing saying we, the United States of America, have more blood on our hands than does al-Qaeda, and that's supposedly a moderate Muslim by the way -- if he's a moderate Muslim, then Ed Schultz is a moderate liberal. I mean, this is ridiculous. That's very, very offensive, of course it is."

"Scott, if a softball throw is too close, what about, like, a pitching wedge?" Stein replied. "How far away do you have to get in order for it to be fine? How big does the Muslim-free zone have to be in lower Manhattan for you to be comfortable with it?"

Stein kept repeating the question, as Uygur noted that there is already a mosque four blocks from Ground Zero, but Hennen talked past him, finally asserting that "the Huffington Post doesn't get it."
