NEW YORK (AP) — Time Warner Cable on Thursday named Dinni Jain as its chief operating officer.
Jain's appointment is effective Jan. 13. He replaces Robert Marcus, who is set to become the company's chairman and CEO after its current leader, Glenn Britt, retires at the end of this year.
Jain is the former president and COO of Insight Communications, which Time Warner Cable acquired in 2012. He originally joined Insight in 2002 as its executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Jain also served as group managing director for strategy for NTL Europe from 1994 to 2001.
Time Warner Cable shares finished at $132.20 on Wednesday. Its shares are up 36 percent so far this year.
