A storm system spawned several tornadoes that whipped through areas of Texas and Oklahoma, causing damage to a school, a marijuana farm and other structures.
A suspected twister barreled through parts of Kansas, injuring several people, damaging multiple buildings and leaving thousands without power.
Nearly two dozen people were injured when tornadoes swept through central Texas as part of a storm system that’s expected to spawn more twisters and damaging winds.
“I gotta warn my kids, because I know what my kids are doing right now, they’re probably online gaming. And they’re not seeing this,” NBC Washington meteorologist Doug Kammerer told viewers.
At least two confirmed tornadoes injured several people Wednesday, but authorities said no deaths had been reported.
Two people were killed and multiple others were injured as the storm front blew across the South.
Witnesses compared the terrifying scene in a New Orleans suburb to "The Wizard Of Oz."
A large, devastating tornado tore through parts of New Orleans, killing at least one person and causing severe wreckage to homes.
The tornado caused “widespread” damage in St. Bernard Parish, where rescue teams were combing through the wreckage.
A county official also said 25 to 30 homes were badly damaged by the tornado.
