What an amazing feeling it is to meet so many new people at once!

It is even more miraculous that we have this global technology as our instrument!

Most incredible still is that all our minds are universal by nature and energetically connected!

THIS CONCEPT LEAVES ME SPEECHLESS.....

ALMOST

This column is a forum for sharing information on the subjects of:

LIFE, LIFESTYLE & LOOKIN' GOOD

What gives me the chutzpah to think I know enough to write about these all-encompassing topics?

Well, I've been learning about what works -- and what doesn't -- since way before most of you were born.

And practicing what I preach -- most of the time.

So I'm growing in deeper understanding every day.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LIVE ONE'S LIFE FULLY?

SOCRATES, AMONG OTHERS, TAUGHT

"KNOW THYSELF."

HOW?

OK. LET'S ASK QUESTIONS.

Suppose I ask you to define yourself in four words. Attributes such as sex, age, height, weight, race, nationality don't count.

IQ, profession, education, marital status, gender preference, hobbies, or economic status are also off limits.

We're talking core values, soul essence, qualities that are essential if one is to live life to the fullest.

When I played this game the answers were:

AUTHENTICITY

Being other than ones' true self is impossible so why bother?

INTEGRITY

"To thine own self be true. And it must follow, as night the day Thou canst not then be false to any man."

(Now this is weird)

When I researched this quote from Shakespeare for accuracy, I immediately and randomly was guided to a site called http://www.drirene.com.

Illustrated with a drawing of a cat!!!

I am not a doctor though I do have a cat -- Muffie.

One of my key beliefs is that there are no accidents.

Who or what intelligence led me to this location in time and cyberspace not only verified my conviction but winked as if to confirm its' correctness.

(I can't make this stuff up.)

BEAUTY

The idea of beauty being in the eye of the beholder has been voiced historically by countless writers and poets, including Shakespeare.

Beauty, being such a transient, illusive, individual entity, can only be evaluated subjectively.

Some like to contemplate emptiness. Me? I never saw a space or subject I didn't want to decorate. MORE IS MORE!

JOY

I have an ageless friend who only wants to have fun. It shows.

Whatever activity turns up your volume or lowers it, rocks your boat or floats it, makes you laugh or cry is healing as long as it is heartfelt.

Playing with Muffie does it for me!

BUT ENOUGH ABOUT ME -- WHAT ABOUT YOU?

An artist asking this question at a cocktail party then added:

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY WORK?

IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO... SO....

Here's a menu of some choices you might enjoy asking about:

LIFE

Relationships and Interactions -- Personal and Professional

LIFESTYLES

Casual and Conventional -- Finding what Fits

LOOKIN' GOOD

Getting YOU at first glance -- the UniqueU!

Once while watching a motivational speaker on PBS address a group (I don't remember his name), he posed a question:

SUPPOSE YOU HAD TO WRITE YOUR BIOGRAPHY IN SIX WORDS.

HOW WOULD YOU SUMMARIZE YOUR STORY?

It's not as hard as you might think -- only challenging.

Since I spent countless years as a textile artist and stylist, it was easy:

MY LIFE THREADS WEAVE WONDROUS TAPESTRIES!

I LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING TO KNOW

YOU AND YOUR STORY!

THANK YOU
