When you have a structured understanding of what you want out of life and where you want your business to go, you must take your consciousness a step further and envision yourself working within your life and business. What is your ideal position and what role will you play in running and growing your business?
Begin to create the position you want in your mind and imagine your daily workload and activities. Walk through your ideal day in your mind. What would occur? Are you performing activities that align with your strengths and passions? Have you delegated or outsourced everything you disliked or are not good at? Remember, you are designing your ideal position! Make certain the position is 100 percent as you would want it to be.
WHAT IS YOUR LEADERSHIP STYLE?
Next, consider your leadership style. Will you create the rules from the top down or operate collaboratively? What fits best with your personality? Think about what you see yourself directing your employees. How will you make decisions?
Consider the following list, which objectives would you want to include in your position: networking, leading your team, developing new products, speaking, media interviews, marketing, sales, or negotiating deals.
CHARACTERISTICS OF YOUR IDEAL POSITION
In your ideal position, will you work in a physical office or a virtual office? How often would you travel on business and how much time would you allocate for yourself? How many hours would your work week consist of? In building your ideal position, ensure that you are not infringing on your ideal lifestyle and all that you wish to accomplish in that regard.
Remember that your ideal life is about more than just making money. Embracing your ideal position within your business will allow you to reach your clients and the world community at your highest levels.
Create a position for yourself that will allow you to achieve your financial dreams, but not at the expense of your ability to live your most fulfilling life or to operate a conscious business that makes a difference and touches many lives.
