This episode of The Future In 5 I talk about what is the purpose of an office. If you look back over the past 100 years, the original purpose of an office was to provide a place where employees could get their jobs done ─ you give them the resources, the tools and the place where they can work. And, you can also see them working. Today, we are seeing the idea of an office take on a very different shape. So what's the purpose of an office today? I think we are starting to see three reasons for why offices exist. First, to foster collaboration and communication. Second, to have a level of transparency. And third, and most important, is to create an experience. In this episode I talk about why I think this probably is going to be the biggest trend to look for over the next 5-10 years. Now, I still believe there are other options for us besides offices, but as far as why offices of the future are going to exist, I believe it is to create that employee experience so that people want to show up. If they want to show up, then we are going to see the transparency, the communication, the collaboration. I'm curious to hear what you think about the employee experience, the office experience. So, tune in to hear more and leave me a comment!
