If you thought war with Iraq was bad, imagine a regional conflict that truly emboldens our enemies.

Some of my favorite Democrats need to start today with a good old fashioned cup of shut-the-fuck-up. Yeah, I get it. Obama's the new guy. Hillary's the veteran standard bearer. There's a primary. I get it, really, I do. But instead of tossing off press releases on David Geffen, and demanding he step down from a position he doesn't have - here's an idea.

General Wes Clark and Jon Soltz, founder of VoteVets.org, have launched a new website, www.stopiranwar.com. Now, I know this isn't as sexy as Jennifer Aniston maxing out to Obama, but no one is going to die if George Clooney can't pick a horse in the 2008 race.

If you thought war with Iraq was bad, imagine a regional conflict that truly emboldens our enemies. It won't do much for our military finding more new troops here at home, but it will certainly lock up Osama's recruiting drive for the next millenium or so.

We shouldn't listen to National Guard dodging Presidents.

We shouldn't listen to Five Deferment Vice Presidents.

We sure as hell out to listen to a General who has been there, done that. And a hell of a soldier and young man who fought both in Kosovo and in Iraq.

Please, please, please truly support the troops and join the fight. Go to www.stopiranwar.com.

And today at 1:30 eastern, both General Wes Clark and Jon Soltz will join Nate Wilcox and I on our show, "Heading Left" on BlogTalkRadio. Listen in then or later in the archive on our site and learn more about their latest mission.

Or you can sit around and piss and moan about your fellow Democrats who wear the same colored jersey you do. It's up to you.
