Never in the history of American politics has someone as so fundamentally, personally, morally and ethically flawed as Rudy Giuliani attempted to run for the White House.

And hats off to everyone who helped deflate the bubble that was the Giuliani campaign, from the firefighters to the film producers to the bloggers, everyone who chipped away at the veneer of credibility only to expose the arrogant incompetence that rages within Giuliani.

How could Republicans vote for a man who annulled his marriage to his cousin on the grounds that he thought she was his third cousin not second cousin?

How could Republicans vote for a man that announced his divorce to a second wife at a news conference?

And then there's the third wife, and a tiara, and a security detail.

And there's Bernie Kerik, and the unsavory clients at Giuliani partners, and the $100,000 speaking fees for charitable events.

But above all, today is a victory for all those who suffered loss on 9/11. This is a victory for the truth about 9/11 and the truth hasn't had many victories from that day.

On 9/11, New York firefighters died because of Rudy Giuliani's incompetence. They died because they didn't have radios that worked. They died because Rudy Giuliani built the Command and Control Center, against the expert's advice, in World Trade Center Building Number Seven.

You're in charge of building mission control for New York City and you build it in the shadow of the only building attacked in the mainland United States by foreign terrorists -- the 1993 World Trade Center attack.

Rudy on 9/11 was running around facing cameras because his command center was destroyed.

After 9/11, Rudy Giuliani fought AGAINST the 9/11 Commission, another shocking move of hypocrisy and arrogance. He knew the Commission would find fault with his leadership and they did.

Remarkably, Rudy Giuliani was supposed to be on that Commission, but his speaking engagements and money-grubbing got in the way.

Giuliani kept going, fleecing countries and corporations of of millions of dollars through Giuliani Partners. He raised tens of millions of dollars from those easily parted from their money.

I never worried about Rudy Giuliani winning, not for one single second. In fact, months ago, I declared him dead and buried -- even my friend Chris Bowers thought I had early called it.

Because even in a country where so often, our media fails to call black black and white white,

in a country where so many don't vote and don't pay attention,

in a political system where legends are created out of frauds,

I knew that once a touch of light was shined on Giuliani, the light would destroy him.

And it did.

Rest in hell Rudy -- but at least you'll be there with all your friends.

Mr. Boyce seems to have forgotten one Richard Milhouse Nixon, a paranoid sociopath responsible for the deaths of untold thousands in Vietnam and a man who almost destroyed our constitution via Watergate, and one George Wanker Bush, sociopath, moron, incompetent, religious fanatic, frat boy, lush, dope fiend, apprentice dictator, All American Failure but most of all . . . most of all: PUNK. Since Weird Rudy will thankfully never achieve the presidency we'll never know how bad he would have been. But Nixon and Bush were and are far worse human beings. So be careful with the hyperbole.

Remember all those pundits that Tweety mocked and laughed at for suggesting Giuliani's numbers would drop when voters got to know him better?

"Never in the history of American politics has someone as so fundamentally, personally, morally and ethically flawed as Rudy Giuliani attempted to run for the White House."

Uh. . . touch of hyperbole there. In fact, someone that personally, morally and ethically flawed not only attempted it, but won. Twice. He just gave a speech to Congress the other night.

Never in my life have I seen a guy with so little to offer so lionized after a single event--EXCEPT DUMBYA BUSH.

The corporate media created two "heroes" from zeroes after 9/11.

Here is hoping that Rudy's support of McCain will be the kiss the death for John and his jobs are't coming back and his 100 years of war politics.
We started with 10, now there are 4.
Take a good look
Flip flop
Huckster
Rudy McCain
Dr. Know
Who is qualified?
Who is honest?
Who are the neocons backing?
Who is the media backing?
Tonight's debate will answer some of these questions.
Pay attention please.

Once the truth about Rudy started coming out, he was toast. Who, in their right mind, would vote for him?

Rudolf Giuliani is a media creation, especially his being crowned "America's Mayor."

And so were his poll numbers.

I've been commenting here for a long time that "the Beast" would self destruct, but I always thought it would end with a bang, not a whimper. He put together a terrible team. No one around him seems to know how to play national politics. His strategy of being a spectator during the early, smaller primaries will go down as one of the great political blunders. He found out too late that in the age of glaring media scrutiny, there's no longer such a thing as a small primary. It was always a long-shot for Rudy, and he needed to play a perfect game to win, much the way the Giants will need a perfect game to win on Sunday. As a Giants fan, I just hope they get better coaching than Rudy got.

Considering the fact that someone more morally and ethically flawed than Myr. Guliani currently OCCUPIES the White House...Mr. Boyce (who is, of course entitled to his opinion) has WELL overstated the case...........................................tm

"Freedom is respect for authority". That, and failing to act on immigration, because he's probably had too many donations from people that were literally banking on under-the-table
employees. But, you have to figure, NYC, big giant melting pot, how honest can a place like that really be? Plus, it has this thing in it called 'Wall St', where millions and billions are made or lost at the touch of a button,
I passed through there one time flying to europe, and it was buildings as far as the eye could see. But, I guess some people love it there, life in the Big City and all that, I just wonder what it might cost to live there
and whether it'd be worth it. I guess if you had a good job that paid decent, but I don't know. One cool thing about the big town is you get to see stuff from all over the world, cosmopolitan, that whole routine. Real diversity. I guess that would have its' points too. One cool thing I did read was that they're doing this thing with underwater water mills for power generation. I think that's pretty inspired. But, as far as Giuliani, well, I don't know, something just said 'greasy politician', hand in other people's pockets as a way of life, and that way lies corruption...

Rudolph isn't alone on that sleigh ride Jimmy. ( BTW, get a haircut. )

There are still four RINO's in the race without a clue what to do with the brass ring. However, Liberals will nominate Hildebeast and regardless of what mental midget RINO remains that's who'll screw up the highest office of the land next.

I'll give two to one.

That was a joke, right!? I mean, Giuliani wasn’t the first so described to attempt a run for the White House and to think he is capable of leading the free world - and, he most certainly won’t be the last. What is so infinitely frustrating is that ‘leaders’ like him are just as likely as not to win the run for the White House, as we all know...and have even been known to stick around for two terms!
