I would not travel to DC, it's a carbon foot-print thing. But if there is a rally in Chicago, I'll be there. Standing up to polluters may be a matter of survival.

Good on them, great stuff. Changes are accelerating thanks to people who have a clue and get involved. Conscience vs big polluters in the end the latter will lose. Im looking forward to seeing a world powered 100% by solar and wind in 20 years.

I do not see any logic whatsoever in your comment. What is this thing causing your laughter? Thousands of people standing up for something they believe in? Oh yeah that's hilarious.

You're so funny!!!! You should thank liberals for the air you're able to breath, water you can drink, safe cars, information labels on whatever food you shove into your face....some of us AMERICANS who think for ourselves kind of like to know just what the corporate creeps YOU obviously worship and adore so much are doing to our food, air, water, and soil....YOU, though just keep bending over for your betters, since you blindly believe anything these killers will tell you....have SOME self-respect for yourself for once!!!

As one who helped organize the first Earth Day on my campus in 1971, I am heartened to see such a positive, joyous bunch taking these issues to our Capitol.

I also like the respectful tone (and content) in most of these posts. I urge all Dems, environmentalists, conservationists, etc. to stay away from the ugly rhetoric seen elsewhere. Be the change you want to see and keep your language clean, too!

It seems a little ironic, that these protests cause gridlock which pollutes because people are stting in cars while not moving. Another reason I live in the suburbs.

Where is the main stream media on this?

They cover 300 people showing up for a tea party protest
and nothing on thousands showing up for clean energy?
11:31 AM on 04/21/2011
The MSM is afraid to advertise anything of worth.  Hence, they manipulate who they want to run for president by obsessing on that person.  WHy would they ever ever cover something like this?  They don't care.  I might add that National Parks in in a dire situation too..funding is continually cut, management is continually cut, staff is continually cut, infrastructures continually losing ground and the gd Pugs wanting to privatize everything.  Of course, without air to breath, we won't have to worry about that.  The MSM as a whole, doesn't seem to think that they too are part of the population that will become effected.  Same for the numnuts in WA DC
