It's Okay To Make It Personal

If you already put a ring on it, why not put your name on it?

With the Royal Wedding this past year, as well as a slew of extravagant Hollywood weddings, it's sometimes easy to forget what the ceremony is really about. Yes, I'm sure it is lovely to be able to spend $20,000 on a 6 foot tall cake (even though I don't know why you would), but what does that have to do with the couple?

Weddings are supposed to be about two people merging their lives together to start a new beginning. With this in mind, it's really no surprise that monograms have become such a wedding trend. Just as two lives are now intertwining, initials are being woven together to create an abbreviation of a new name that will represent the couple forever. Each monogram is unique, kind of like a new insignia.

I remember seeing my initials next to my husband's on our wedding day. It was our first marking in the world as a true couple. Monograms are like validation. They are a bold, in-your-face statement. Being married for as long as I have, you come to learn that while a big sparkly wedding ring says "Hey, I'm taken," a monogram necklace says "I'm in this for the long haul."

So what kind of statement are you making with monogram jewelry?

For the bride and groom, monograms are the new logo for their merge. Just like you would announce a new company, you want to make sure people know your new name and a new monogram necklace for the Bride and monogram cuff links for the Groom is a great way to add personal touches to your wedding attire. Plus, you can wear them for years to come and they won't go out of style.

For Bridesmaids and Groomsmen, personalized jewelry is a thoughtful way to thank them for being a part of your special day. I mean, they have had to deal with all of your "bridezilla" tendencies. The least you can do is give them a more original (and personalized) gift then the standard purse, pair of diamond studs or unexciting cuff links. Just like how our jewelry is hand drawn and each piece is individually cut, you want to make sure your wedding party knows that you appreciate their special touch to your wedding. Show them that you put a little thought into it.

Manufacturing personalized jewelry for over 60 years I can tell you that this trend is not going anywhere. Personalized jewelry is a practical and personal gift. So if you already put a ring on it, why not put your name on it?
