I have two children and four grandchildren, ranging in age from 16 to 21. I received a B.A. in literature and history from Union College in Schenectady, New York in 1976 and an M.A. in criminal justice from the State University of New York at Albany in 1979.
Although I worked for a short time with juvenile delinquents in a non-secure detention program, my primary employment was with New York State, where I was a policy analyst in criminal justice. I retired from New York State in 1984 and moved to the east coast of Florida, where I live on the intracoastal waterway, about a block from the beach.
After retirement, I worked as a copy editor for about a year. I have enjoyed many interesting volunteer activities. Currently, I work at the circulation desk at the local library.
My favorite leisure activities are reading, learning foreign languages, walking on the beach, bicycling, kayaking, and working out. I am looking forward to my editorial responsibilities with Offthebus.
