With just 66 days until the historic Copenhagen Climate Conference, Kofi Annan was joined by Inglorious Basterds star, Melanie Laurent for the global launch of a new version of the Midnight Oil hit, "Beds are Burning." Many of the lyrics have been rewritten and recorded with 60 plus artists including: Duran Duran, Mark Ronson, Jamie Cullum, Melanie Laurent, Marion
Cotillard, Milla Jovovich, Fergie, Lily Allen, Manu Katche, Bob Geldof,
Youssou N'Dour, Yannick Noah and many more.

The song launch is in support of the TckTckTck Campaign and Time For Climate Justice, which is part of Kofi Annan's Global Humanitarian Forum. You can download the track and video for free. All downloads will be counted towards a global petition that is demanding a fair, ambitious and binding climate deal out of the Copenhagen negotiations. 3.3 million people have already signed. The campaign is also asking viewers to become "Climate Allies" by uploading their own video "Tck" to be part of the world's largest video petition.

The original version of the song was also political and called on the Australian government to return land taken from Aboriginal tribes. Midnight Oil performed that version at the close of the 2000 Olympics in Sydney wearing all black with the word, "Sorry," written across their chests.
