"Walter Mondale has seen the light at the end of the tunnel - and it's out."
-Dan Rather, CBS Evening News, election night, November 6, 1984

As Senator Hillary Clinton took the stage in Ohio, aglow in the victories that came about from her Red Phone ads and negative tactics, everyone over the age of 25 should have felt a chilling reminder of a similar night in 1984, after a bruising primary race, when another equivocating, derisive and "experienced" Democratic Party machine candidate used slash and burn tactics to win the nomination, demoralized a new generation of Democratic Party activists, and prepared to take on a grandfatherly and economy-challenged warrior in the November presidential election.

Beware of what the cat drags in.

Here's a different Walter Mondale ad from 1984 that the Democrats might like to review, if only to remind Hillary Clinton that "turning the corner" with her latest negative tactics might lead down a darker McCain tunnel.

Will Hillary "Fight" on, just like Walter Mondale?
