Okay, we elected him, now what do we do with him?

Let's not worry about that for a while. Let's just enjoy for now the knowledge that our democratic republic actually can and did operate an election according to its ideals (yeah, I know it cost a lot of money -- we'll work on that). We survived rule by the most destructive and jingoist administration any Orwell or Tocqueville could have feared, got up, brushed ourselves off and strode ahead with dignity -- and not off a cliff, either. What a country.
