Thanksgiving is upon us - and while this time of the year may not be ripe for festivals in the US, that doesn't mean there aren't some great shows happening all over the country in the next few weeks worth checking out. From folk/rock, to electro-pop, to alternative, here are 3 of the best shows happening around the holiday this year.

WHO: The Head And The Heart
WHEN: Sunday, 11/17
WHERE: Stubbs Waller Creek Outdoor Amphitheater - Austin, TX
WHY: The Head And The Heart, one the best indie-folk groups out there right now, have been growing their devotees since their most recent tour kicked off back in October. The energetic, Seattle-based band is known for their grassroots style - but showed this year with their most recent album, Let's Be Still, that they are also capable of harnessing a more mature and complex sound. Their music translates perfectly onto the live stage - with beautifully built rhythms, contagious singalongs, and even a few heartfelt ballads. Don't miss them at Stubbs on November 17th.

WHO: Sky Ferreira
WHEN: Saturday, 11/23
WHERE: Vic Theatre - Chicago, IL
WHY: Fresh off the heels of her debut full-length album, Night Time My Time, emerging electro pop star Sky Ferreria is a talent not to be missed live. The 21 year old LA native performs with skill beyond her years, delivering catchy hooks and icy vocals with contagious energy and ease. Sky has got some of the best names in the music industry behind her (well-known pop producers Greg Kurstin and Bloodshy & Avant), but her grungy-glam style brings an edge to her music that is unique. If you plan on being in the Windy City this holiday season, be sure to catch this up-and-comer at the Vic Theatre on November 23rd.

WHO: Beck
WHEN: Sunday, 11/24
WHERE: Walt Disney Concert Hall - Los Angeles, CA
WHY: Beck has been off the radar for a while, recently emerging with a couple of strong singles and rumors of a double album release in the coming months. He'll be playing what is sure to be a memorable show at the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on November 24th, during which he will perform his latest album of sheet-music - Song Reader - in its entirety. A plethora of incredible guests have been confirmed to support this one-night-only show, including Childish Gambino, Jenny Lewis, Jarvis Cocker, and Juanes. Will certainly be a show not to miss.
