I've got to be honest. I was a little intimidated, more like scared when I heard James Caan wanted to speak with me. First of all, I was honored that he wanted me to interview him about his new site, OpenFilm.com but I didn't know if I said the wrong thing if I'd end up in the river just like the victims in his iconic Godfather roles. But nevertheless, Caan put me at ease from the very beginning by telling me stop referring to him as Mr. Caan and instead as "Jimmy". I knew this was going to be an interview to remember and I was right as "Jimmy" went on to tell me about his early days as an actor, some of his favorite films, his thoughts on studio films and his new opportunity for new filmmakers on his new site, OpenFilm.com.
In my two-part interview, Caan explains why OpenFilm.com is (no pun intended) opening doors for aspiring artists, how he stays so grounded, his acting tips for budding actors and so much more.
