Peggy Noonan, a former speechwriter for Presidents Reagan and George H. W. Bush, and the author of a book called On Speaking Well, is now a political columnist for The Wall Street Journal. In her column over the weekend, she spent the better part of 1245 words lauding Sarah Palin's speech at the Republican National Convention. She then tagged on 9 more words to conclude her article: "John McCain also made a speech. It was flat." 'Nuff said.
