From the beginning of the president's address through the conclusion of Senator Joni Ernst's official Republican response, more than 2.6 million Tweets sent were related to the State of the Union (#SOTU).

According to Twitter, moments that ignited the most conversation during the State of the Union Address, measured in Tweets per minute were:
