Jake Gideon of the breakups.

A sort of one-man Fountains of Wayne, Gideon grew up in East Lansing, Michigan and moved to LA about ten years ago. Much influenced by the local Largo Club musicians, including Michael Penn and Jon Brion, Jake writes, sings, and produces, charming, hooky, heartfelt music that can rock when it needs to, but is always sweet on the ears.

Accompanied by a shifting cast of musicians under the name the breakups, he will be releasing a new single on iTunes this month and playing at LaBrie's Lounge in Glendale on July 10.
