When the Huffington Post asked me to participate in the Huffington Post Talk to Me video series, I was thrilled. I have two amazing sons both of whom would be terrific at interviewing me. Aaron and I live in the same city so it was more convenient to ask him to do the interview.

Aaron jumped at this opportunity. He is always asking me questions about my life's choices, my speaking and writing work, and he is curious about how I have structured my life after raising my children.

After my divorce from their father, it was difficult to raise my sons alone. And then it was my decision to leave the city where their father resided and start a new life. There were many problems and lots of anger and acting out of frustrations regarding a new home in a new state. Several times I had to change their schools, and one year they went back to live with their father. I asked a lot of my sons during their childhood. And I didn't consider any of the fluctuation in their lives to be sane and sound. Sometimes we have no choice in life. Reality bites.

After I was accepted into American Film Institute to become a film producer, I met my significant other and entered into a secure and loving relationship. David was a strong and tenacious man who was an out of the box role model for the boys. Life was calmer, and I knew I could be a protective and encouraging mother until they went to college.

Both sons did very well. Both sons are intelligent, creative, terrific fathers and concerned and heartfelt men. I am, indeed, proud of who they are and of their accomplishments.

The Huffington Post Talk To Me series is created to inspire conversations between generations. And all who participate are celebrating our families as we join together generations with joy and love. It's a terrific way to leave part of my legacy to my family.

Here's my video with my son. I think it turned out well and it was emotional for us both.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed having an awesome 7-minute conversation with Aaron.
