Nets May Move to Newark Before Brooklyn

The New Jersey Nets are thinking about moving from the Izod Center in the Meadowlands to the Prudential Center in Newark until their new arena is built in Brooklyn, according to this report by Dave D'Alessandro in today's Star-Ledger and on NJ.com. The Nets attracted large crowds to two preseason games that they played in Newark and as a result are interested in playing regular season games there starting as soon as next season if they can get out of their Meadowlands lease without paying an $8 million penalty.
