The ad tells my mother-in-law's story of how she was sterilized against her will in a hospital in Pullman, Washington in 1972, shortly after delivering my wife, Nilmini - a dark time in our country's history that few people remember today.
And yet we still see consistent attacks on Women's Healthcare as part of coordinated effort to limit, or in some cases, totally deny a woman's right to make her own health decisions. This is beyond wrong, and in Congress, you can believe that I will stand up to any attacks on Women's Healthcare, because to me, it's personal.
