As a filmmaker, I recently took up Jason Puracal's cause and produced this video highlighting his case and all the facts that detail Jason's innocence. The short film also provides a cautionary message to those American's traveling abroad.
I was drawn to Jason's story through my own family's experience with the region of Central America when my uncle was kidnapped and murdered by soldiers in El Salvador while on assignment for Associated Press in 1980.
