New Jersey Democrats have been enjoying the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, including joint events with several nearby states. Essex County Freeholder Leonard Luciano, a member of the Garden State delegation, has shared some of his photos from the weekend in Charlotte.

Luciano shares that the New Jersey and Maryland delegations kicked off the week with a joint party on Sunday, while the New Jersey delegation spent time with Pennsylvania on Monday. Luciano is representing parts of Essex, Morris, Passaic and Union Counties at the convention. A teacher in the Newark public schools, Luciano was appointed to a vacant seat on the Essex County freeholder board in 2011 and elected to a three-year term later that year.

"Excited to be here as a delegate representing 34 municipalities," Luciano told HuffPost.
