The film below tells the story of HOPE volunteer and NYC-based physical therapist Claude Hillel. Having watched the devastation that immediately followed the 2010 earthquake in Haiti and lost several of his own relatives in the disaster, Claude left New York and traveled to the battered country where he would change countless lives for the better amid unimaginable destruction.
"I've never done anything like that before," Claude says, "but just sitting in front of the TV was not an option."
This is the third in a series of powerful documentary short films capturing Project HOPE's work around the world, directed and produced by award-winning filmmaker Joshua Seftel. Josh's past work has aired on PBS, HBO, Showtime, Bravo, and A&E, and has been featured at the Tribeca Film Festival.
