I routinely enjoy CBS's golf coverage with Flaherty's humorous commentary and the British turns of phrases like "useful shot" are classic. But the never ending hypocrisy astounds me.

Jim Nantz recently chastised Tiger Woods for his language. I understand that CBS doesn't want profanity broadcast on air. But since we all are well aware that certain golfers swear in the heat of battle, especially Mr. Woods, why does CBS continue to choose to constantly shove a microphone in his face to capture such moments?

They know it's likely to happen -- we fans surely do.

Shouldn't golf in general, and CBS in particular, be a bit more concerned about some of the comments of a few of the members of their own family?

Don't know what I'm talking about? Please, let me refresh your memory:

During the 2008 Masters, CBS announcer Bobby Clampett referred to Chinese golfer Liang Wen-Chong as "the chinaman."

Who will ever forget the Golf Channel's Kelly Tilghman's classic statement? She suggested that the only way to beat Tiger was to "lynch him in a back alley".

My personal favorite is Fuzzy Zoeller's classic, once again at the Masters, advising the media that they should inform Tiger "not to serve fried chicken next year" at the Masters annual Champions Dinner. Completing the thought with "Or collard greens or whatever the hell they serve."

Most recently, at the Masters no less, Golf Digest's Dan Jenkin's couldn't be left out. He took his turn with a racist tweet disparaging golfer "Y.E. Yang ... PF Chang ... whatever his name is."

I know more than one reader will dismiss my perspective as that of "just another angry Black man" but I would be more accurately described as an angry golf fan.
