Chicago's most fashionable and philanthropic joined together at Gallery 225 (225 W. Hubbard) for Macy's Glamorama kickoff event, Glam Launch Party. Chaired by Candace Jordan, the evening benefitted Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana (RMHC-CNI). The mission of RMHC-CNI is to care for families of children with complex medical needs by providing "a home away from home" just steps from where their child is being treated in the hospital. Every night, 140 families find comfort, compassion and community at the four area Ronald McDonald Houses® and Ronald McDonald Family Room® in Edward Hospital. That's 40,000 nights where RMHC-CNI families are able to stay close to their child, saving them over $7 million in hotel costs.

At the exclusive kickoff event, guests mixed and mingled with models showcasing collections from local designers Peach Care, Archer Townsend, Eva Pazola and Elda de la Rosa while enjoying cocktails courtesy of Wirtz Beverage and Tito's Handmade Vodka, appetizers from Food for Thought catering, and a special candy bar courtesy of Hershey's.

The main event is taking off tomorrow, Friday, August 9 at Harris Theater headlined by superstar Sheryl Crow along with performances from Cirque du Soleil, and The Summer Set. Fashions from Jean Paul Gaultier, Tommy Hilfiger, Diesel, MaxMara, and Maison Jules will be featured down the runway benefitting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.
