Scott Schuman visited Chicago earlier in the week to promote his second book The Sartorialist: Closer. A breakfast reception at the Coach store on Michigan Ave. with a Q&A led by Susanna Negovan was held in his honor which was streamed live and allowed viewers to send in questions via Twitter.
It was an honor to sit at the same table as this world-famous photographer who has pioneered street style photography. As self-taught photographer and businessman, Schuman has helped bring down the level of elitism found in the fashion world. He not only captures the fashion editors at major fashion events, he also covers the every day style of the people in each city he visits. The Sartorialist is his diary of the interesting people he meets around the globe.
Schuman spent the rest of the day photographing around the streets of Chicago before his book signing at The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
Check out photos of the Q&A with The Sartorialist and the fashionable guests in the gallery below.
Thank you, Scott Schuman. We hope to have you back shooting in Chicago soon!
