On Thursday May 3, I attended the VIP opening for Frieze Art Fair on Randall's Island. Didn't know what to expect. I thought I was going to see five of my paintings on the wall, but as I entered the space I only saw one, which made me think, "Where's my visual cue to help me figure out what the next step should be?" Maybe the one painting hanging on the wall was that cue?

Hmm... it was cute to see.... I have been attempting to work my way up in scale. I am now at 24" x 36". Below is a studio view of some of the other 2D works I have been working on in general. Hopefully, a New York gallery exhibition is in the near future. I will be making more this summer, and seeing where it goes.

Many things grabbed my attention, but I never got around to taking photos. I kept running into people I hadn't seen in a while...chatted, caught up...ran my mouth. It was great! Smiles, kiss kisses, sausages cooked by Gavin Brown. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood! I stayed five hours when I normally never make it past a hour and a half at art fairs.

After hanging out and hitching a ride back to Brooklyn with my artist friend Luis Gispert, I went on Facebook to browse and came across some wonderful photos another artist-friend Katherine Bernhardt posted. I shot her a message, and she wrote that she's cool with me posting them. No descriptions... just snapshots.... all it needs to be.

Check out the fair! Also swing by The Breeder in C22 and see something of mine up close and personal.

The vibe was great!
