Note: Do not read on if you have not seen Season 10, Episode 8 of ABC's Grey's Anatomy, titled "Two Against One."
If the fork is the future, I see it lodged somewhere in Christina's body, perhaps right through her head. Things are still bad between her and Meredith and after tonight reconciliation is going to be a long time coming. Grey has her 3D printer, for a liver model that will take a whole day to print, and disappoints the staff by first showing them a fork. Shane and Yang realize that they can use the printer to make a piece for a patients heart that will work right now.
Yang asks Meredith to use the printer and Meredith says she needs board approval. But Yang does it anyway. I know that Grey is trying to prove herself after being called "lousy," and only Derek's on her side, but I do feel bad for her. Instead of being convinced and cajoled to coming around and letting Christina use the printer for the good of the patient, she's ambushed, and her own research is pushed aside. She has a point about that; the printer is for a specific project. If Yang can print a valve, expect a line around the hallway come next week to print at all. Can't they just be friends again?
Even more disturbing than that upcoming BFF smackdown is Bailey pulling at her hands and blacking, or zoning, out. She's not just mad at Ben, but what is it? Neurological, I bet, which means Derek and Ben are going to have to convince her to do something. I said last week that I was glad Ben's back and I mean it even more now.
- Now that Bailey's losing it, Richard is coming back to life. He's telling boring stories, saving his crazy hospital roommates and somehow convinving April not to have sex with her fiance before the wedding...even though they were so close.
What do you think is wrong with Bailey? Are they going to take over Meredith's printer?
Maybe we shouldn't actually lean on each other.
Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
