We have only one mission at Flyersrights.org--to be the voice of airline passengers. We came into being in 2006, focused on fighting against excessive tarmac delays. In short, we wanted to prevent airlines from sticking us into metal tubes, rolling us out onto a sea of asphalt, and forgetting about us for 8, 9, even 10 hours.

In that effort, we are well on the way to success! The Department of Transportation (DOT) issued what's known as the 3-Hour Tarmac Rule on April 29, 2010. Airlines must now always provide a comfortable cabin environment, working toilets, and provide food and water after two hours. At three hours, they must offer passengers the opportunity to get off the airplane and get back on when it is ready to leave.

Over the years, we've learned that there are many more airline passenger issues that must be addressed. We hear about them daily from calls to our Free Hotline, e-mails, and calls directly to me. Our 28,000+ members tell us of events that often seem at odds with government and airline problem reporting.

So, we're seeking a more comprehensive understanding. We need to know where to focus our efforts in the coming months.

Please help us reach that goal. Take five minutes to respond to our new survey.
We'll use the statistics we gather to inform your senators and representatives of the opinions of their constituents. More importantly, we'll be able to speak authoritatively to the media regarding your opinions.
