This piece was very difficult to engage with and I have worked on it from 2009-12. It is currently finished. It was hard for me because the woman’s facial expression underneath my drawing and painting interruptions depicts deep pain and anguish. I wanted to conceal her identity but still capture the emotion behind her expression.
