Social Media is about social engagement.

So how can all of us be more effective online?

1. Participate in social networks

2. Help moderate forums and contribute to discussions

3 Regularly submit content: blog posts, articles, podcasts, videos;
researching industry-related events or groups adding new applications
to social networks for additional Profile features.

Some of the phrases I have coined to simplify things a bit:

"Engage to be engaging"

"Listen. Connect. Engage. Grow."

Without engaging our friends, consumers, clients and potential clients in
conversation, our "brand" will slowly fade away and possibly die of anonymity.

What is anonymity? It is the quality or state of being unknown or unacknowledged or one
that is unknown or unacknowledged.

Engaging has a very simple definition as well; tending to draw favorable attention or interest.

Do you tend to draw favorable attention or interest?

As our world continues to get smaller and smaller as a result of technology, it is vital that all of us improve on our communication, social and engaging skills.

After all- who wants to be unknown or unacknowledged?
