"Technicolor Summer" 44 x 36 in. Oil on Linen. That summer my father was battling an invisible but terminal illness. His white blood cells were so low that we couldn't fly anywhere. The family took four vacations all around California, to anywhere we could drive. There were a lot of swimming pools, oceans and mountains. Every moment was more vivid because it could be the last one. The last great meal. The last great sunset. It was a summer in high definition. A summer in technicolor.
