A few months ago I wrote an article right here on Huffington Post highlighting new age jobs, many of which your career counsellor will never tell you about. Jobs like being a Growth Hacker, an Influencer, or even a Chief Listening Officer. Believe it or not those are all real things - and if you run a search on LinkedIn you'll find more and more job listings highlighting those keywords.

Over the weekend I went and did a further analysis into the life of an Influencer, from average earnings to predicting trends with Google, even what social channels are showing the most growth for influencers. 2016 has seen more brand-influencer collaborations than ever before, which means if you're a budding social rockstar you have big things to look forward to in 2017!

Celebrities like Selena Gomez may value their Instagram posts at over $500 000, but there are also clusters of micro-influencers with 10,000/50,000/500,000 followers collaborating with brands to achieve the same (if not better) results than traditional celebrities.
