John Edwards Gets It, Will Congress?

Yesterday, I questioned if Democrats were ready to abandon the troops AND the American people by caving into the president's veto and stubbornness. Now I know at least one Democrat is talking some sense, in a commercial playing in early primary states.

He was also on CNN making the case for sending the president another bill with money for the troops AND a timetable for withdrawal. He reminded Congress, as I attempted to yesterday, that THEY HAVE THE SUPPORT OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

I also believe that our troops are ready to come home. The men and women I have spoken to that have served there tell me that morale is low and their mission is unclear. After multiple deployments, extended deployments, and disastrous deployments, WE NEED TO BRING ALL OF THEM HOME.

Perhaps Senator Edwards' common sense will prevail among the Leadership in Congress. It would help if people would appeal to their representatives and senators. Will you do that?
