A Warning for Obama

What's Your Reaction:

You are in danger of becoming a one-term president!

Your attempt to reach across the aisle these past two years in the face of ongoing contempt and ridicule from the Republican Party has made you seem weak and foolish.

It cost you a Democratic majority in the House of Representatives this past November, and it will cost you far more in 2012 if you persist in trying to meet the opposition party halfway.

It's true that you have been weakened politically, but you still have the veto. Use it to stand your ground. No compromise. You have compromised away far too much already.

~ Larry Flynt

"Halfway"? No way!

No way, when Democrats are to the right of the political middle, while the Republicans are out behind the building on the street to the right of the right field parking lot. I mean, they aren't even VISIBLE from the ballpark.

So, meeting Republicans "halfway" still means leaving the ballpark.

And that makes it kind of hard to play ball, you know?

Dear Mr. Flynt,
What about Bradley Manning? I don't have a lot of money, but I made a conscious decision to donate to Bradley today. Julian has gotten himself in the spot and will all likelyhood will not be left in vain. I cannot say the same about Bradley, can you? Would you consider donation to him as well? I would like to hope so. Thanks.

Does anyone really think our President should actually take advice from this man? Have we really dropped that low?

Or maybe he should be taking advice from Republican Representative David Vitter, Mr.B?

Right on, Larry!! Short, sweet and right to the point!

lol @ Larry and anybody else who thinks this way. It`s about the American people..not a Party with a (D) or an (R) by their name. Why do you think Clinton was loved..most of his best work was with Republicans, and they met in the center..not the right,or the left.

Doesn't matter - Obama doesn't have IT in him...

two more years to implement what the republicans will force him to do and then...a republican president in 2012.

"It's one thing to make compromises after you've struggled for something you believe in, another to make the compromises without ever trying." Can't remember where I read that or who said it, but that quote says it all.

He has NO CHOICE but to "reach across the aisle" since "across the isle" is where the MAJORITY of AMERICANS stand (proudly in RED, WHITE & BLUE with their hands covering their hearts)!!!!!!!! He has tried to appease the MINORITY.... that's his greatest weakness!

All the polls showed the american public against extending tax breaks for the rich... He's a pro war (stay in Afganistan till 2014), anti single payer health plan, pro wall street republican.

Better one good term than two mediocre ones.

I just held a MoveOn.org meeting called "Potluck for Progressives" and every single person in the room said the same thing - President Obama get a spine! And we are the ones who voted for President Obama, sent in campaign contributions, volunteered and worked for Democrats this last election, etc., etc.

Unbelievable that Larry Flint makes the most succinct and astute political observation I heard today.

How did Obama think it was a good idea to reach out to those who wanted him to fail?

Larry Flynt, the voice of reason. The worst part is the GOP tells its kool-aid drinkers that Obama is hyperpartisan and spent the last two years spitting in the Republicans' faces. They don't see any reality at all. Obama should spit in their faces and make their paranoid phantasies come true!
